MEDICAL staff will be taking part in a 'Twitterthon' today to highlight the work they do at an under-threat unit.
Staff at the children's cardiac unit at Southampton General Hospital will be using social networking website to illustrate what they do.
Starting at 8am, surgeons, nurses and other members of staff will update members of the public as things happen at the unit, which is at risk of closure due to a government review.
The Daily Echo is spearheading a campaign to keep the facility - which is the second best in the country - open.
