An investigation has been launched today into the death of a Hampshire cyclist.
The 49-year-old man was out cycling with two friends in the New Forest when he fell.
The accident happened at Beaulieu Road, between Hilltop and the A326 The Heath roundabout.
The incident happened at 10.30am on Friday and the man died shortly afterwards.
Hampshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit is currently investigating the exact circumstances of the fall but it is not believed that any other vehicle was involved.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses with information to contact PC Dan Golding at the Roads Policing Unit based at Totton police station, quoting incident 367, on 0845 045 45 45.
