A MANHUNT is underway today after an arson attack at a Polish food store in Southampton.
Police and fire crews were called to Zim Zag in Woolston amid reports of smoke billowing from the back of the premises.
A couple and their young baby living above the shop were forced to flee the building as the drama unfolded at around 8.35pm last night.
It is thought the arsonist broke into the back of the Portsmouth Road store and started a fire. A suspect in his late 30s was later spotted leaving the area in the direction of Bridge Road. He was wearing a distinctive fluorescent jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bitterne CID on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
