A WOMAN has appeared in court charged in connection with a serious assault of a man in his own home.

Joanne Moscribrodzka, 44, of no fixed abode, appeared from custody yesterday at Southampton Magistrates’ Court facing charges of grievous bodily harm with intent.

She was bailed to appear at Southampton Crown Court on December 21.

Detectives arrested Moscribrodzka in connection with an incident on Monday, where a 51-year-old man was found at 1.20pm in his flat in Shirley High Street suffering from serious head injuries.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where his condition was last night described as serious but stable.

Detectives were questioning a 46-yearold man on suspicion of attempted murder while still trying to trace another man thought to be involved in the assault.

Anyone with any information can call Shirley CID on 101, quoting Operation Flanborough or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
