AROUND 35 firefighters attended a blaze at a flats in Gosport last night.
Two crews were called in from Gosport, two from Fareham, one from Portchester, a special equipment unit from Cosham and an aerial ladder from Southsea to a six storey building in Nimrod Drive just before 9.30pm yesterday.
The first floor maisonette was severely damaged by fire.
Firefighters said the properties were empty and that the fire was thought to have started in some rubbish in one of the empty properties.
No-one was injured or had to be rescued.
Police confirmed they were treating the fire as arson.
