BUDDING entrepreneurs who harbour ambitions of running a pub can find out more at an open day on Wednesday.
Admiral Taverns, which own 1,200 pubs across the UK, is visiting Fareham to unearth new talent in the region to become tenants of its community pubs.
It comes as a group of MPs, including Southampton Itchen’s John Denham, have called for legislation to prevent pub landlord’s being “ripped off” by pub company bosses, through restrictive covenants and “beer ties”, which are mostly blamed by tenants with financial problems.
The open day is free to attend at The Heathfield Arms, Blackbrook Road, Fareham, 1pm-7pm.
