THE owner of a fitness centre has offered free membership to hundreds of women affected by the closure of a Southampton gym.
Sarah Harding, from Accolade Health and Fitness, in Northam Bridge Road, Southampton, has vowed to honour the contracts of members of The Ladies Club, which closed without warning last Friday.
As reported in the Daily Echo, members arrived at the Commercial Road gym to find the shutters down and a note on the door, signed by owner Angela Lee, stating that the gym had closed “with immediate effect.”
But Sarah has now pledged to honour the contracts of all members who had paid up front for their 12 or 18-month memberships, by allowing them free use of the facilities at Accolade.
And she has also offered half-price membership to any TLC members who were paying for their membership via a monthly direct debit.
