Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne buys eighth property
EASTLEIGH MP Chris Huhne has splashed out more than a million on a new London home, it has been reported.
The millionaire Liberal Democrat Energy Secretary is said to have bought his eighth property last week.
The Grade II-listed property in Clerkenwell was previously a pub but is now a flat and offices.
It is reported that the MP bought the property for £1.25 million.
Mr Huhne is shortly expected to learn whether he will be charged for asking his ex-wife to take speeding points on his behalf.
Prosecutors have now received new evidence, believed to have come from the Sunday Times, into the case.
Earlier this year Mr Huhne and his ex-wife, economist Vicky Pryce, divorced after 26 years of marriage.
