THIEVES broke into a woman’s home and stole about £20,000 worth of jewellery.

The burglary in Eastleigh happened when the 50-year-old homeowner was at work.

The thieves forced entry into the home in Chamberlayne Road overnight and took about £20,000 of Indian gold jewellery, which included necklaces, bangles and rings in 22 carat gold, plus a Seiko Kinetic watch that belonged to the victim’s late husband.

It happened between 6.45pm on February 2 and 7am the following day.
