A LITTLE boy who is fighting cancer has had his wish granted, thanks to kind-hearted Ringwood Rotarians.

Matthew Jackson, eight, was diagnosed with leukaemia last year and while he was being treated his grandmother Christine Welberry asked him if he had any wish that she could help come true.

He told her that he would love to go for a ride in an Aston Martin.

She got in touch with Ringwood Rotary Club and now Matthew is set to go to Beaulieu Motor Museum, where he will catch a lift to the venue’s James Bond Festival in the car of his dreams.

And he will also get to go home in a rare Jack Barclay silver Bentley convertible, which is one of only 12 of its kind.

Matthew’s twin brother James and older brother Daniel won’t be sharing the trip in the Aston Martin because it is a two-seater, but the boys will meet Matthew, from Christchurch, at Beaulieu on the day.

His mother Catherine said: “We are so grateful to the Ringwood Rotarians. They are giving something to Matthew that we could never organise ourselves and it will make him feel so special.”
