Man hit by bus suffers serious head injury
A MAN has been taken to hospital suffering with head injuries after being hit by a bus in Southampton city centre.
The pedestrian, believed to be in his 50s, was struck by the single-decker First Hampshire and Dorset bus just before 2pm, along Pound Tree Road.
When the emergency services arrived he was breathing and conscious. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
The road is currently closed as police clear the scene.
