A major police investigation has been launched after four people were stabbed in Southampton last night.
One of the victims was found in a city centre pub while two more were discovered at an address in Cranbury Avenue.
A fourth man was dropped off at hospital for treatment following the incident, according to detectives.
Police have revealed that one man, who had a serious arm injury, was found at the Alexandra pub in Belle Vue Road at around 11.15pm.
Two other men, one with an injury to his hand and another with an injury to his stomach, were discovered at a home in Cranbury Avenue.
A 19-year-old man went to the Royal South Hants Hospital with a less serious hand injury.
Cranbury Avenue has been cordoned off by police today as they carry out forensic enquiries.
Detective Inspector Ellie Hurd, who is leading the inquiry, said; “We’d like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of Cranbury Avenue late last night.
“Did you see anybody injured, or hear any arguments or any kind of disturbance?
“We’d also like to reassure the public that we believe this was a targeted and not random attack.
“Finally I’d like to appeal to anyone else involved in this incident to contact us.
“There is a possibility that more people were involved and have been injured in some way. “
A 19-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is currently in custody.
