I’M writing in response to Charlie Arnold’s letter in the Daily Echo of May 7.
While I appreciate no one is promised a job for life, I’ve worked for British Gas at the Southampton office since I was a school leaver at the age of 17; I’m now 51.
I don’t see losing my job as just being a ‘change’ that I ‘just have to accept’.
The building may be old, but the people that work in it are the reason that it has been run from there successfully for so long!
