FOUR Hampshire women are now in with a chance of winning a prestigious beauty contest, after impressing modelling scouts.

The quartet of girls from across the county have been handed a shot at the Miss England crown, after two more ladies advanced to the next stage of the competition.

It comes after Front Models, organisers of the Miss Hampshire contest, decided to send the runnerup, Georgina Rickman, through to the grand final.

Georgina, 20, who originally missed out on a final spot to Miss Hampshire winner, Grace Levy, has now secured her place after catching the eye of modelling experts.

Student Georgina, from Lymington, attended a Front Models boot camp in London and impressed pageant coaches so much that she was awarded a place in the final, as Miss Front Academy 2012.

That meant that beauty therapist, Jourdan Walker, 18, who came third in Miss Hampshire, will now take Georgina’s place at the Miss England semi-finals, in May.

And Jourdan will be joined there later this month by 18- year-old Eastleigh College student, Charlotte Davies, after she was crowned the winner of another qualifying pageant.

Former Toynbee school pupil, Charlotte, beat off stiff competition from 12 other entrants in the Miss Little Miss Independence contest, to claim a place in the next round.

She and Jourdan are now both in with a chance of joining Grace and Georgina at the Miss England grand final, which takes place at the Ramada Hotel, in Leicester, on June 24 and 25.

The winner of that coveted title will go on to represent their country, in the glamorous Miss World competition.
