A woman who died from multiple stab wounds at her Southampton home was unlawfully killed, a coroner has ruled.
Anita Bawtree, 34, was killed at the flat she shared with her partner Steven Waters at Napier House, Paynes Road, Freemantle, in April last year, an inquest heard.
A post-mortem revealed she died from multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck, which damaged her heart and punctured a main artery.
Waters, 55, was found guilty of her murder and sentenced to life imprisonment following a trial at Winchester Crown Court.
Southampton deputy coroner Gordon Denson recorded a verdict of death due to unlawful killing.
