The body of missing woman has been found in a river.

Katharine Lisa Blakey, 42, of Gordon Road in Fareham was last seen at home on Tuesday.

A Hampshire Search and Rescue team spotted her body in a river near Fareham creek in the early hours of this morning.

The body was taken to hospital where it was formally identified by next-of-kin.

Hampshire police said the death is not being treated as suspicious. The coroner has been informed.

Police issued an appeal for help to find Ms Blakey on Wednesday.

They said it was not the first time she had been reported missing and had been known to stay in hotels and guest houses on previous occasions.
