AN elderly man had £500 stolen from him by two men who followed him home after he withdrew cash from a bank.
The money was stolen while the 64-year-old, who was walking with a stick, was stopped for directions near the Angel pub in North Front, Southampton. It is thought that he was being watched when he went into the Nationwide Building Society.
Police said the main suspect was described as white, 5ft 7in, of average build, with a bald or shaven head.
He was wearing a black jacket, a white top and blue jeans.
His accomplice was white, about 5ft 11in, with short, black hair.
He was skinny and wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.
The distraction theft happened just after noon on Friday.
