Village fete called off after overnight rain
A POPULAR village fete has been called off today amid dismal weather conditions.
With rain hammering down overnight, organisers decided to pull the plug on Marchwood Jubilee fete, which was due to take place from noon to 4.30pm at Lloyd Recreation Ground.
A meeting is due to take place on Tuesday with a view to rearranging the fun day for a date in September.
