Police carried a string or raids across Southampton as they stepped up the fight against drug dealers in the city.

It is part of Operation Fortress and two year crackdown on drugs gangs bringing violence to the streets of Southampton.

Below is a list of where yesterday's raids took place and who was arrested.

KERN CLOSE, SHIRLEY:

A 19-year-old male, from London, arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

A female was given a cannabis warning, after cannabis resin was found in the property.

ATHERLEY ROAD, SHIRLEY:

A 29-year-old male and 38- year-old female were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

Second address:

A 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

A 32-year-old female was also arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

NELSON ROAD, SHIRLEY:

24-year-old man, from London, and a 31-year-old female from Southampton, arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs, with an intent to supply.

A substance, suspected to be class A drugs, was seized from the property, as well as hundreds of pounds in cash.

NORTHBROOK ROAD, ST MARY’S:

Four Southampton men, aged 32, 29, 28 and 25, arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

Suspected class A drugs were also found and taken away by police for examination.
