A SOUTHAMPTON man who rammed his partner’s head against a wall after they had returned home from a drinking bout was jailed for six months.

Neighbours heard Graham Perry shout a threat and then several bangs before victim Melissa Orchard said: “I’m scared of you.”

The victim told police she suddenly felt “a whack” in the face. After seeing she was bleeding from a cut above an eyebrow, Perry was apologetic and got some tissues to stem the flow, prosecutor Adam Feest told the city crown court.

Perry, 51, of Nutbeam Road, Eastleigh , admitted causing actual bodily harm.
