A BURGLAR stole a haul of jewellery from a Hampshire home.

The offender broke into a home in New Farm Road, Alresford , by forcing open a ground floor window.

Among the items stolen were several items of Michaela Frey and Frey Wille jewellery, a Monica Vinader sterling silver bracelet with moonstone, a gold link necklace and an eternity ring, while £20 in cash was also taken.

Police could not put a value on the jewellery but said they were of sentimental worth to the owner.
