A HAMPSHIRE man was robbed of £70 by two men who approached him in the street.

The pair asked the 40-year-old, from Fareham , for a lighter, but as he started looking for one, one of men demanded money and took his wallet from him.

Police are appealing for anyone in the area of Highlands Road, Fareham, between 10.50pm and 11.10pm on Sunday who saw anything suspicious to get in touch.

The first robber was described as white, aged about 24 or 25, 5ft 6in and of stocky build, with short dark hair. His accomplice was black, in his late 20s, skinny and with a gaunt face and braided light-blond hair in a ponytail.
