The ankle injury sustained by Great Britain hockey player Alex Danson in yesterday's win over South Korea is not thought to be serious.

The Southampton ace was stretchered off in the dying stages of Team GB's 5-3 win at the Riverbank Arena.

Danson, who has scored three times in the opening two matches, is an integral part of the squad.

And Great Britain head coach Danny Kerry revealed today that she should be back in action quickly, as Britain prepare to face Belgium in their next group match tomorrow.

"Alex sustained a slight ankle injury towards the end of the match against Korea, however after assessment it is not thought to be serious," he said.
