IT’S a wheely-perfect tribute to cycling golden boy Bradley Wiggins.

One Hampshire family have taken support for the Olympic gold medallist to a whole new and eyecatching level.

The Allen family came up with this impressive tribute to the London 2012 Games and to the cycling team in particular outside their house, which has been causing quite a stir among neighbours.

The five Olympic rings, made out of bicycle wheels wrapped in coloured cloth, have been hung between a lamppost and their house in Romsey .

Cycling fan Nigel Allen said: “It’s the Olympics once in this country in a lifetime – I think we can be a bit extreme can’t we?”

It was after watching the opening ceremony that Nigel’s daughter Millie, 22, was inspired to create the family’s Olympic tour-de-force and Nigel found five spare wheels in the garage while wife Kate stitched the strips of cloth together.

Yesterday the family was glued to their television cheering on Wiggins as he went on to take his fourth Olympic gold medal in the road time trial – Britain’s second gold medal of the Olympic Games.

Nigel said: “It was awesome!”
