THE mother of two young boys who was arrested in connection with their deaths has been released on bail.

Shelly Adams spent most of yesterday in custody being interviewed about how her son Jayden, two, died in January 2011.

She was arrested when she returned to answer bail over an ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of her eldest son Bradley who was four and who died in April 2011.

The Daily Echo reported last year how the brothers had died three months apart, sparking an investigation by detectives.

They initially arrested her in April last year on suspicion of the murder of Bradley, who had died at Southampton General Hospital where he was being treated after being found unconscious at home.

Post-mortem examinations to determine what caused the boys’ deaths proved inconclusive.

A police spokesman said yesterday: “The 26-year-old Southampton woman arrested on suspicion of murder of boys aged two and four has been bailed, pending further enquiries, until November.”
