HEALTH visitors have celebrated their first year pioneering a new approach to helping first-time mums and dads cope with parenthood.
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust was one of the first trusts to launch the groundbreaking programme aimed at supporting parents before the baby is born.
The programme is now set to be rolled out across the country, supporting parents before and after the birth, meaning trained health visitors are ready to step in and help should families start to struggle, especially with post natal depression or mental health issues.
