POLICE have warned against leaving windows open in warm weather after a burglary in Fareham .
Cash, a laptop and a makeup bag were taken during the break in at a home in Simpson Close, which happened while the occupants were asleep.
Police believe the thieves may have got in through a downstairs window.
Detective Constable Gina Campbell said: βIt is very tempting to leave windows open while you sleep but this allows easy access for thieves. If you want to leave windows open while you sleep, fit window restrictors so they cannot be fully opened.β
Anyone with information about the burglary, which happened between 1am and 7.30am on Friday, July 27, should call police on 101.
