POLICE are hunting this man after a would-be robber held up arcade staff with a 6in kitchen knife.
The CCTV image has been released after the suspect sneaked in through the back door of Slot Casino on Above Bar Street in Southampton before demanding that a female employee open a safe.
Despite being threatened with a blade, she refused before pressing an alarm.
The would-be robber fled empty-handed through the back door and was seen heading into a rear courtyard area in the direction of Sussex Road, East Park and Palmerston Park.
Today detectives at Shirley CID have released CCTV image as they step up their investigation into the incident on Tuesday at 9.30am.
It shows the suspect on the black mountain bike and wearing a bright yellow backpack as he cycled in Above Bar Street, He is about 6ft and white. He wore a black hat, dark trousers, a dark hoodie with white cords hanging at the neck and a bright yellow backpack or sports bag.
