THE search for a rare breed dog that is thought to have been stolen from its Hampshire home has gone nationwide.

Dog wardens from around the country have been contacted in the hunt for Frankie, the Kerry Blue terrier pictured, who went missing from the garden of his Totton home.

Lydia Stallard, owner of two-year-old Frankie, has launched a campaign in a bid to find him, including a huge leaflet drop, and has contacted the local wardens who have sent his description out nationwide.

Frankie, who is largely black with a small white flash on his chest, was wearing an orange collar with ID tag on it when he went missing.

The family pet is also microchipped prompting fears he has been stolen as anyone who found him could take him to a vet who would be able to reunite him with his owners.

Mum-of-two Lydia, of Water Lane, Totton, said: “We just want to hear from anyone who may have seen Frankie or who have been offered him for sale. He has a specialist diet and needs a lot of grooming so is quite high maintenance to look after. My two boys are just distraught that he has gone.”
