A MAN suffered deep lacerations after he was found on live railway tracks in Hampshire last night.
Train drivers reported seeing a man who was bleeding both sitting near and walking along the railway in Totton .
British Transport Police officers and paramedics including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance went to the scene near Ashurst Bridge Road just before 7pm.
The electric current had to be turned off on the tracks so the emergency services could reach him.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said the 20-yearold was taken to Southampton General Hospital with “deep lacerations.”
A British Transport Police spokesman last night said the incident was being treated as “non-suspicious”.
Last night South West Trains reported delays on one of its services from Weymouth to London Waterloo.
