A Hampshire man will go on trial today accused of committing a breach of the peace by walking close to a children's park while wearing no clothes.

Stephen Gough, 53, known as the ''naked rambler'', was arrested on Friday July 20 in Townhill, Dunfermline, Fife.

He is accused of conducting himself in a disorderly manner and committing a breach of the peace by walking naked in Cairncubie Road, close to the play park, and refusing to put on clothing or move away from the park.

Gough, from Eastleigh , pleaded not guilty at an earlier court hearing.

He chose to represent himself rather than be given a duty solicitor.

His trial is due to begin at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
