Thief targets woman, 81
AN ELDERLY Hampshire woman was targeted in her own home by a thief who claimed to be offering roof repairs.
The intruder walked into the 81-year-old’s home in Kings Road, Gosport , asking about roof slates before walking out with some of her personal items, between 11am and 12.30pm on September 17.
The man, who had broken front teeth and short black hair, stole her purse, containing £200 in cash and three bank cards, which had been on her bedside table.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the thief to come forward.
