THIS is the face of a the man police believe attempted to rob a shop worker as he carried takings to his car.
The suspect struck in a car park and sprayed his victim in the eyes with an unknown substance.
The victim was making his way to his car, parked in the B&Q car park in Mayfield Road, Southampton , but was confronted by two men. One demanded money while the other sprayed the liquid into his eyes causing them to sting.
A struggle followed but the man, who works in a convenience store, managed to keep hold of the cash and his would-be robbers ran off.
The man who demanded the money is described as a 6ft tall Asian who is thin and aged 20 – 22.
Detective Constable Olivia Lucas is appealing for information from anyone who can identify the e-fit or anyone who witnessed the incident at 9.20am on September 10.
