TWO potentially deadly Portuguese men-of-war have washed up on the shore of the Isle of Wight.
The creatures, the stings from which can kill humans in extreme cases, were discovered at Chale Bay by a man out hunting for fossils.
Although the jellyfish-like creatures were dead, the Southampton-based Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has repeated its warnings to people not to touch them and to get medical help if they are stung.
It comes after further recent reported sightings along the south coast.
The MCA is asking people to let them know if they see a Portuguese man-of-war, which can have tentacles that stretch up to 50m long, in the sea or on shore.
