City drugs factory raided

Daily Echo: Police raid city drugs factory Police raid city drugs factory

TWO men have been arrested after police raided a cannabis factory in Southampton.

Officers were called to the address in Burgess Road shortly after 3.15pm today, where they found a large number of cannabis plants being grown.

One man was arrested at the property immediately, but another, believed to be aged in his early 20s, jumped out of a window and ran down the road in a bid to escape.

Police gave chase and he was detained a short time later.

Both men were last night being questioned on suspicion of being involved in the production of cannabis.

Officers remained at the property for several hours while the electricity board was called to cut off the supply and make the property safe.

I would have thought that the government would have encouraged home grown produce.

Yes, because "factory" sounds so much more sinister than "farm", even though they're growing a plant which God created.

Alcohol is a growing problem due to the stupid relaxation of the Licensing law. However cannabis does cause irreparable brain damage, especially if taken during the teens. I would not agree to a previous post to FREE THE WEED, I would rather FREE THE WEEDS THAT DEAL IT OUT TO KIDS ON THE END OF A ROPE.

A very sad day.

But its ok.

I can go to town on firday night spend 4 times as much is it would cost if i wanted to get some cannabis get obnoxiously drunk get into fights, be sick everywhere and expect everyone one who pays taxes to fork out for cleaning up the mess. Because thats socialy acceptable and british right ?
