TWO men have been arrested after police raided a cannabis factory in Southampton.

Officers were called to the address in Burgess Road shortly after 3.15pm yesterday, where they found a large number of cannabis plants being grown.

One man was arrested at the property immediately, but another, believed to be aged in his early 20s, jumped out of a window and ran down the road in a bid to escape.

Police gave chase and he was detained a short time later.

Both men were last night being questioned on suspicion of being involved in the production of cannabis.

Officers remained at the property for several hours while the electricity board was called to cut off the supply and make the property safe.
