A £210,000 plan to improve pedestrian routes and bus services in a Hampshire village began yesterday.
Footpaths will be widened, road crossing points improved and traffic signal technology updated along Bournemouth Road and Chalvington Road in Chandler’s Ford.
The six-week Hampshire County Council project begins on Monday with work taking place between 9.30am and 4.30pm to avoid peak rush hour times.
Funding for the scheme comes from the Department for Transport’ Local Sustainable Transport Fund and developer contributions.
