A BURGLAR stole thousands of pounds of photographic equipment from a Southampton home before escaping in the victim’s car.
The thief targeted the shared property in Southampton belonging to a 22-year-old photographic student.
It is believed the burglar broke n while other householders were in downstairs rooms at the back of the house. Car keys to a Skoda Fabia were among items taken from a bedroom.
The haul included a black iPod Touch, a black iPod Classic and a variety of photographic equipment including a black Canon AE-1 35mm SLR, a Canon 5D Mark II, a XOUGNU shutter control, a fish eye lens, a silver 35mm Olympus and a Canon camera bag. The blue Skoda, registration SA56 ZFW contained a Tom Tom satnav, CDs and a portfolio of photographic course work belonging to the student.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw someone leaving a property in Harborough Road and driving off in the Skoda between 5am and noon on Wednesday, October 10.
