STAFF at a Southampton department store are putting their best foot forward as they take on an Olympic-sized fitness challenge.
Employees at the WestQuay John Lewis store are pulling on their trainers as they attempt to complete 2,012 miles either by jogging, walking, cycling or rowing, and in doing so raise cash for their chosen charity.
They were given a boost by a team of 'Running Gods' who put them through their paces in store as part of the Challenge 2012 launch.
It is hoped the challenge will also build on the company’s Partners in Sport programme, where staff are encouraged to engage in a sport through setting up clubs, training or even competing at national level sports events.
