Reaching 40 at the start of this year I decided to get fit for the first time in my life, so joined a gym, but needed some incentive. My friend Valerie suggested we do the race for life to help with our training, and maybe raise a bit of money.

In May my Nan "BONEY" as I've called her all my life, was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer...

Devestated, I decided to really push with both the training, and the sponsorship, approaching only customers in the family shop where I work, Hansfords, in Fareham High Street.

In the end I managed to run the coarse in about 32 minutes, which was amazing, but it was the generosity of the customers of our shop that amazed me even more.

I managed to raise £1,267.75!!!! and counting.
