POLICE are hunting a man who robbed a Winchester garage armed with a knife.

The man entered Pittvale Garage on Romsey Road and demanded money from the till.

When he was told there was no cash the offender agreed to take three packets of tobacco valued at around £20.

After leaving the garage last Thursday around 7pm he walked towards the city centre.

He was wearing a hooded top and scarf  and is described as white, about 5ft 6in and of slight build.
