SHE benefited by more than £50,000 from her crime, and now she’s facing losing everything she’s got as police take the money back.
Brothel madam Suzanna Symington is the latest person to be subjected to a confiscation order by Hampshire police and has been ordered to pay back more than £18,000 that she has available.
The court heard how the 29-year-old, of Ocean Way, Ocean Village, Southampton, made a total of £51,037.07 during the course of the four months that her brothel was operating between May and August last year.
Some of the money had come from the girls who were working for her, and other cash had been used as deposits for two flats.
The court was told she currently has realisable assets of £18,144.88 through her bank accounts, cash and a Porsche car, and she was given six months to pay up.
But under the rules of the Proceeds of Crime Act, Symington could find the remaining amount is recovered from her in years to come.
