Teenage girl seriously hurt in hammer attack
A teenage girl has suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a hammer last night.
The 17-year-old was rushed to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries following the attack.
Emergency services were called to the incident at an address in Shearer Road, Fratton, at about 6.58pm last night.
This morning an area around a row of terraced houses in the street has been taped off by police.
The teenager, who has not been named, is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
