A SCHOOL was at the centre of a knife drama as police officers were called to deal with an incident.
Hampshire Constabulary says it received reports of a teenager threatening to harm himself at Regents Park Community College in Southampton this morning.
Specialist officers were called out to the school in King Edward Avenue at about 8.45am.
The force says the incident was "dealt with quickly and safely and without further incident".
A 16-year-old boy, who is not a student at the school, was arrested and remains in police custody.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Witnesses say they saw a large number of police at the scene this morning.
One parent said her daughter texted her to say students were locked in their classrooms while police dealt with the incident.
