POLICE investigating the murder of a Southampton dad have charged a man with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, and arrested another man.

The investigation into Michael Freshwater’s murder is still ongoing after his body was found at an address on Westridge Road at around 4.15pm on Friday, April 29.

But now officers have charged Jammoy Bent, aged 25 of no fixed abode this morning with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and he has been held on remand.

He will appear at Southampton Crown Court on August 5.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Michael’s death are continuing and police have now confirmed that today they have also arrested a 28 year-old-man from Southampton on suspicion of assisting an offender, conspiracy to supply class A drugs and money laundering.

Independent charity Crimestoppers is continuing to offer a £10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Michael’s death.
