A MAN who was accused of robbing a Hampshire sex worker in her own home has been found not guilty.
A jury at Southampton Crown Court took just 39 minutes to clear Rashpal Sanghera, 33, of Lingwood Close in Basset, Southampton.
Mr Sanghera had been accused, along with others, of robbing Violeta Pasare at her home in White Star Place, Southampton, in December 2015.
Nicholas Hall, prosecuting, said Miss Pasare, 37, was on her own when three men burst into her flat and one of them held a knife to her throat before they stole £100 and identity documents.
Mr Hall said Mr Sanghera was arrested and interviewed by police.
He admitted going to White Star Place, saying he wanted to have sex with Miss Pasare, but told detectives he had a panic attack and denied being involved in any robbery, the court heard.
After listening to evidence given by defence witnesses the jury found him not guilty.
