POLICE have dropped a rape investigation after a teenager was reportedly attacked outside a Southampton convenience store.
Officers were seen sweeping the area outside the One Stop store in Winchester Road to find clues after the incident, which was reported to have taken place at around 3am on Friday morning.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called just before 3am today to a report of a rape against a 19-year-old woman."
However, Hampshire Constabulary has now said it is no longer investigating the incident.
It is not clear why the investigation was dropped by police, but a spokesman declined to give further details.
