POLICE on the Isle of Wight have launched a community crackdown on antisocial behaviour on National Trust land on the Island.

PCSO Stuart Woods, from the Sandown Bay Safer Neighbour-hoods team, is working with the National Trust and community leaders to stamp out irresponsible drinking and criminal damage in the Red Cliff area of Culver and Bembridge Downs.

PCSO Woods has been patrolling the area and confiscating alcohol after the protected region became a popular place for drinking. Residents can call 101 to report antisocial behaviour.
