A CHIP shop worker was threatened with a knife during a robbery in Chandler’s Ford .

Police revealed the 32-yearold man had been cashing up when the robber went round the back of the Goodies Fish and Chip Shop in the precinct and demanded he hand over money.

More than £1,000 was stolen from the shop at around 10pm on Saturday.

  • Damon Dixon, 25, from Portswood Road, Southampton has been charged with robbery, burglary and escaping from lawful custody.
