PLANS to build new homes in Bevois have been rejected.
Developers aimed to create four terraced houses following the demolition of 8A Bevois Hill.
It would have been made up of one three-bedroom and three four-bedroom dwellings, along with associated car parking, cycle and refuse storage and the erection of a single storey extension to 8 Bevois Hill.
Locals were concerned about the plans, with one stating noise could become an issue if the homes were built.
However, Southampton City Council refused planning permission on May 15.
